Very similar install to CentOS

I choose Minimal system
Added Base System > Base, Desktops > X11

The post-reboot Network Config screen seems has duplicate and missing settings for defaultrouter, DNS server, DNS search path.

My network settings were not activated.  Had to edit /etc/sysconfig/net*s/*eth0.
ONBOOT=yes
NM_CONTROLLED=no
Not sure it's necessary, but since worked for my Centos systems, I did:
    mv -v /etc/sysconfig/rules.d/persist*net* ~
    start_udev

Disabled SELinux in /etc/sysconfig/selinux

rhn_register
No idea whether satellites/Proxies (mirrors?) are better, so going with RHN Classic.

yum -y install xorg-x11-apps
yum -y groupinstall 'Perl Support'
scp in ~root env files.
rsync in /usr/local/bin/*

System configured this way takes up 1.6 GB.

TODO:  Try out gnome-disk-utility, system-config-lvm, system-config-services
