I don't know what happened to original suse12.* files.  Don't want to clobber them if they show up so am naming this differently for now.

Initialization services now controlled with systemd instead of sysvinit.
F5 upon systemd boot to revert to sysvinit.
systemd uses "systemctl" instead of "service".  Doesn't take non-standard
parameters.

Plain "halt" does not shut down the system properly.

Temp file purging.  Systemd ignores sysconfig variables in /etc/sysconfig/cron
but honors /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/tmp.conf.  See "man tmpfiles.d" for more details.

Some time zone info movd from /etc/sysconfig/clock to /etc/adjtime.

GNU tar now defaults to writing PAX extended headers.

As of about 23013-04-20, it seems that packman split off the h264 codec into vlc-codecs rpm.  Just install that RPM explicitly.
